MidAtlantic Farm Credit announced the hiring of Emily Spence as a crop insurance agent based out of the association’s Denton, Maryland office.
Spence will report directly to Kathi Levan, MidAtlantic Farm Credit’s crop insurance manager. In her new position, she will work with customers to provide solutions for areas of risk in their operation and make recommendations to ensure their operations remain prosperous through times of low production or poor weather conditions. “We believe Emily’s passion for agriculture and diverse skill set will be a great addition to our crop insurance department and company,” says Levan.
“I am excited to be working for such a reputable company in the agricultural community and look forward to getting to know our customers better,” says Spence. “I look forward to helping them succeed and grow their businesses.”
Prior to joining MidAtlantic Farm Credit, Spence worked as an administrative assistant for First Home Mortgage and as a logistics coordinator for Choptank Transport. She graduated from Salisbury University with a degree in business management. During her school years, Spence was a member of the Future Farmers of America (FFA). Outside of work, she enjoys agriculture, being outdoors, and helping others.
